When thinking of the Pacific Northwest, one is often reminded of the tall ponderosa, festive Douglas fir, and blossoming Dogwood trees. However, what most people notice about the PNW is the abundance of greenery. Everything is green. what is not so noticeable is the range of colors found within the greenery. Whether it's flowers, ferns, grass, or other foliage, there is a rainbow of colors. The question now is, how can we apply this concept of finding beauty in the mundane to footwear?
Footwear, apparel, accessories, and equipment all have certain colors consumers prefer, usually black and white. However, this project seeks to include not only these essential colors but also a variety of colors inspired by the vibrant hues commonly found in the Pacific Northwest region.
